Making Palm Oil Sustainable
On 17 October 2018, the second Palm Oil Sustainability EU-Malaysia Discourse took place in conjunction with the International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM 2018), with the attendance of YB Teresa Kok, the Minister of Primary Industries.
Held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, invited speakers included representatives from the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), United Plantations Berhad, National Association of Smallholders, Lipidos Santiga, Segi Enam Advisors and Forever Sabah NGO.
This event was made possible through the program “Support for European Businesses in Southeast Asia Markets - Malaysia Component (SEBSEAM-M)”, by MGCC in partnership with the EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
IGEM2018 itself is organised by the Malaysian Ministry of ENERGY, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC). The conference is considered as Southeast Asia’s largest trade event for green technologies and eco solutions, having recorded an attendance of over 380,000 visitors including delegates, dignitaries and companies from over 50 countries.
